Hi, my name is Justin! I am a Senior Networking Analyst for Caisse Financial Group, a local credit union here in Manitoba. I have been in the IT field for over 5 years now with a large part of my time specializing in Networking and Security infrastructure. My role primarily focuses on working with senior leadership to asses and design changes or new product implementations that fulfill a need in the business. I love the collaboration and design portions of my job the most, this is where I get to build new diagrams to showcase new capabilities or connectivity flows to help visualize and quantify the improvement we are making in the network. Whether that be securing our end users and servers, reducing the time is takes for our systems to failover ensuring our network is agile and dynamic, especially in the fast moving financial space where availability is everything!

For those that know me I am a very bubbly and social person with deep technical knowledge in the networking space that is ever-growing. I can accredit this due to the fact that I love to study for and challenge certification exams about new and current networking technologies. In my own time I love to snowboard, go to the gym and work on personal finance. I have spent a lot of time learning and working on my own personal finances from saving, budget tracking and taxes, but my main focus of interest will always be investing and understanding different investment strategies and portfolio options. I also stay updated on new information and how others are investing themselves to see if there is something I can do within my own portfolio that could benefit. I hope to add a section to this site soon with a bit more on finance.
